HD16 - A Report from the State Council of Higher Education Made Pursuant to the House Joint Resolution 74 of the 1960 General Assembly
Executive Summary: House Joint Resolution 74 of the 1960 General Assembly contained two related directives to the State Council of Higher Education as follows: (1) To coordinate the various procedures used by the several State-supported institutions of higher learning for the admission charges and applications of students so that the costs of such applications are borne by the applicants rather than the State; and (2) To make a study to consider tuition charges at the several State-supported institutions of higher learning, the procedures used to determine such charges and the relationship of these charges to the cost of educational services rendered, the ability of the student to pay and differentials as between residents and non-residents and to make recommendations as to the feasibility of creating a uniform system for such charges. |
