SD2 - Interim Report of the Medical Facilities Commission
Executive Summary: The Medical Facilities Commission and the Advisory Committee on Education for Health Professions and Occupations of the State Council of Higher Education have concluded that appropriate utilization of the medical and medical educational facilities in the Commonwealth urgently require adequate assessment of State needs for health manpower. Such an assessment is mandatory for proper expenditures of State appropriations for health professions, education and shall be continued until an adequate data basis is available. Therefore, the Medical Facilities Commission strongly recommends an additional appropriation of $50,000 to the State Council of Higher Education to work with this Commission in the preparation of a comprehensive study and interim report on the health manpower and education needs of the Commonwealth, to be rendered to the Governor and the General Assembly November nineteen hundred seventy-three. |
