SD14 - Workmen's Compensation Act of Virginia
Executive Summary: This report is a result of the study directive contained in Senate Joint Resolution No. 100 which passed the 1973 session of the General Assembly. Pursuant to the study directive, the Virginia Advisory Legislative Council named Senator Edward E. Wiley, Richmond, to the Chairmanship of the study committee. The Council appointed the following to the membership of the Committee: Senator George S. Aldhiser, III, Broadway; Senator George F. Barnes, Tazewell; Delegate Walther B. Fidler, Warsaw; Mr. Robert R. Fohl, Richmond; Delegate Edward E. Lane, Richmond; Delegate Frank E. Mann, Alexandria; Mr. Harry W. Meador, Jr., Big Stone Gap; Mr. William A. Patton, Clinchco; Delegate Donald G. Pendleton, Amherst; Mr. William S. Proctor, Jr., Richmond; Senator H. Selwyn Smith, Manassas; Mr. Brewster Snow, Richmond, and Mr. C. H. Taylor, Richmond. Mr. R. E. Farmer, Manager, Workmen's Compensation Inspection Rating Bureau of Virginia, Richmond area's named an ex officio member of the Committee. The Division of Legislative Services made staff and facilities available to carry out the study, L. Willis Robertson, Jr. and Mrs. Janet C. Baker being assigned to assist the members of the Committee. |
