Executive Summary:

The Lorton Reformatory Complex is the complex of prison facilities for most male convicts from the District of Columbia. It is located on a tract of land in Fairfax County which contains several thousand acres of land. At the 1975 Session of the General Assembly, Senate Joint Resolution No. 103 was adopted to create a Commission to study the desirability and feasibility of acquiring the Lorton Reformatory Complex.
