RD155 - Annual Progress Report of the University of Mary Washington on the Effect of the Aging Population on State Agencies

Executive Summary:
HB 110 (2006 Session) amended Va. Code § 2.2-5510 to require that each state agency "report by October 1 of each year to the Governor and to the General Assembly its progress for addressing the impact of the aging of the population in at least five specific actions."

The University of Mary Washington serves primarily the traditional college-age population on its Fredericksburg campus and serves primarily the adult population on its Stafford campus. Although the core mission of the institution does not involve directly the aging population, the University supports "lifelong learning" as part of its mission statement and is pleased to support programs such as Elder Study. Our annual report follows which addresses the requirements of HB 110 indicated above.
