RD128 - Annual report on the U.S. Route 58 Corridor Development Program


Executive Summary:
The General Assembly included in Item 447 B.3 of Chapter 3 of the 2006 Acts of Assembly, Special Session I, information directing the Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) to report on the cash balances in the Route 58 Corridor Development Fund. The report shall include: (i) allocations and expenditures from the Fund for the preceding fiscal year by project and district; (ii) a comparison of actual spending to allocations by projects and district; and (iii) a six-year plan for planned future expenditures from the Fund by project and district.

Estimates and expenditures are shown as of April 30, 2007. Total expenditures were $1.060 billion for the Route 58 Corridor Development Program. This includes $402 million in Bristol District, $80 million in Hampton Roads District, $145 million in Lynchburg District, $244 million in Richmond District, and $190 million in Salem District.
