RD359 - Chesapeake Bay Restoration Fund Advisory Committee Recommendations


Executive Summary:
Chapters 749 and 823 of the 1995 Acts of Assembly established the Chesapeake Bay Restoration Fund Advisory Committee and charged it with developing a plan for expenditure of the moneys in the Chesapeake Bay Restoration Fund. The Advisory Committee proposes that the moneys in the Fund be awarded in the form of grants to nonprofit organizations, political subdivisions, state agencies, and educational institutions. This year (2008 grant cycle), the Advisory Committee received 73 proposals requesting approximately $893,978.72.

Having evaluated each proposal, the Advisory Committee recommends that the funding of projects listed below at a total allocation of $362,561.50 be included as an amendment to the 2008 budget bill.
