RD181 - Cash Balance Report of the Route 58 Corridor Development Fund


Executive Summary:
Item 459 B.3. of Chapter 879 of the 2008 Acts of the Assembly, directs the Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) to report on the cash balances in the Route 58 Corridor Development Fund. The report shall include: (i) a comparison of actual spending to allocations by project and district, (ii) expenditures by project, district and funding sources and (iii) a six-year plan for planned future expenditures from the Fund by project and district.

Allocations and expenditures are shown as of April 30, 2008. Total expenditures were $1.081 billion for the Route 58 Corridor Development Program. This includes $409 million in Bristol District, $80 million in Hampton Roads District, $145 million in Lynchburg District, $246 million in Richmond District, and $201 million in Salem District.
