RD2 - Evaluation of the Address Confidentiality Program December 2007
Executive Summary: An address confidentiality program has been established within the Office of the Attorney General. Specifically, the law requires the Statewide Facilitator for Victims of Domestic Violence to establish a program known as the "Address Confidentiality Program" (ACP) by providing a substitute designated address for victims of domestic violence to use as their personal address for state and local government records. According to the law, an individual who is at least 18 years of age, a parent or guardian acting on behalf of a minor, a guardian acting on behalf of an incapacitated person, or an emancipated minor, may apply to the Office of the Attorney General to participate in the Program. A qualified participant may use a specifically designated address, under the control of the Office of the Attorney General, as his or her address. |
