RD225 - State Council of Higher Education for Virginia: Report on Transfers from Community Colleges at Virginia Public Institutions - 2010


Executive Summary:
This report describes the total number of Virginia Community College System (VCCS) transfer students each four-year institution of higher education enrolled and graduated from 20002-03 to 2006-07. The number of VCCS transfer students admitted to each higher education institution is not included because this information is not reported to the State Council of Higher Education.

The data tables included in this report provide information about VCCS students transferring to four-year institutions with, and without, the associate degree in the fall terms of 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006. The tables indicate numbers of transfers by institution, attaining the baccalaureate within two, three, and four years after transfer.

Note: the cohort of students transferring in the fall of 2006 will have reached the four-year limit for graduation during the 2009-10 academic year. The tables also provide numbers of students who did not complete the baccalaureate degree within four years after transfer under the label “still enrolled/DNG (did not graduate).” These students are not tracked in the data subsequent to the fourth year after transferring.
