RD488 - Virginia’s Information Technology Governance Structure
Executive Summary: Virginia's IT governance structure is the subject of this JLARC review. The state has established a partially centralized structure for governing IT, which requires cooperation between the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) and other state agencies. Although the structure has benefits, it has created challenges, which need to be addressed in the near future, in preparation for major decisions about central IT services. The state contract with Northrop Grumman will expire in 2019. Report includes recommendations. |
