Item 304 H of the 2015 Appropriation Act passed by the 2015 General Assembly directs DMAS to report by September 1, 2015, on efforts to ensure the validation of meaningful and reliable encounter data for the purposes of rate setting, program monitoring, providing data to policy makers and the general public, and detection of fraud, waste and abuse.
