Section 10.1-1020(B) of the Code of Virginia requires the Virginia Land Conservation Foundation to conduct a grant round each year to identify and rank projects for the subsequent fiscal year and provide copies of such project rankings to the Chairmen of the House Committee on Appropriations and the Senate Committee on Finance. This report includes the ranking of those projects submitted during a request for proposals held from November 22 through December 13, 2019.

There is no funding associated with this request for proposals and ranking of projects. This report includes a listing of potential projects to illustrate the current financial need for land conservation. Should funding be provided in the Fiscal Year 2021 Appropriations Act, then the Virginia Land Conservation Foundation will conduct an official and comprehensive grant round in Calendar Year 2020 to award the available state funds.
