RD527 - Department of Education Summary of Progress Toward Implementing Performance Assessments to Verify Credits in History and Social Science

Executive Summary:

Report on the progress of implementing the option of successful completion of assessments that include state-developed performance tasks scored locally in accordance with Board of Education guidelines using state-developed rubrics for the purposes of establishing graduation requirements relating to verified credit in high school history and social science.  The report shall include examples of tasks and scoring rubrics; agency support to school divisions for implementation; and information about divisions planning or interested in offering the option to students.
