The 2020 Appropriations Act (Item 406.O.1–3) directs the Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) to report to the Chairs of the House Appropriations, House Courts of Justice, Senate Finance and Appropriations, and Senate Judiciary Committees on the feasibility and costs to the Commonwealth and localities for the implementation of a pilot program to collect data on bail determinations.

Work on the Bail Determinations Uniform Reporting Study was impacted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and DCJS requested an extension. The request for extension was granted with the expectation that a preliminary report be submitted by December 15, 2020 and the full report submitted by May 15, 2021.
