Old Dominion University identified and paid $128,000 to 153 recipients, exceeding the SCHEV goal of 140. Additionally, Old Dominion University was approved to pay $70,500 in Bonus awards to 87 recipients and $102,000 in Incentive awards to 131 recipients.

Old Dominion University continues to promote degree attainment in recruiting initiatives. We utilize the Net Price Calculator to assist online students investigating degree completion through the Online Virginia Network partnership with George Mason University. We continue to offer on-site admission programs at local VCCS campuses such as Tidewater Community College, Virginia Peninsula Community College (formerly Thomas Nelson Community College), and NOVA (Loudon, Manassas, Annandale, and Woodbridge). We also partner with Tidewater Community College with a reverse transfer program.

Old Dominion University provides informative Award Notices to all transfer students and access to the Self-Service Portal, maintains regular communications with transfer students and holds separate Transfer Preview (orientation) programs throughout the year. Transfer Grants are discussed at each of these encounters. Both In-Person and Remote counseling appointments are available to all students wishing to meet one-on-one with a Financial Aid Counselor OR Academic Advisor.
