The Board of Visitors of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) has taken multiple actions to ensure compliance with the provisions of the legislation as described below:

As stated in the Code of Virginia § 23.1-1303 (13), the boards of visitors of each public institution of higher education and the State Board for Community Colleges shall submit to the General Assembly and the Governor an annual executive summary of its interim activity and work no later than the first day of each regular session of the General Assembly.

During 2025, the Board held four regular meetings on March 25, June 3, August 20, and November 18; one retreat for the full Board on August 17 (no action taken). In addition, the Board held a public comment session for proposed changes to tuition and fees on March 5 (no action taken) and one special all-virtual meeting on September 30.
