The Community Builders Pilot Program funding supported a comprehensive prevention and engagement strategy designed to strengthen not only youth, but also the families and community systems that play a critical role in shaping youth outcomes.

Through strategic investment, Petersburg City Public Schools expanded programming across three interconnected areas: youth development, family empowerment, and community collaboration. Together, these efforts helped build a stronger village of support around students-one rooted in prevention, connection, and opportunity.

This work was intentionally organized around three core pillars, each designed to strengthen a critical part of the ecosystem surrounding young people.
