RD184 - U. S. Route 58 Corridor Development Program 2014 Report - Expenditures as of April 30, 2014


Executive Summary:
Item 450, B.3. of Chapter 1 of the 2014 Acts of the Assembly (Special Session I) and Item 448 B.3. of HB 5002 (currently pending the Governor’s signature), directs the Commissioner of Highways to report on the cash balances in the Route 58 Corridor Development Fund. The report shall include: (i) a comparison of actual spending to allocations by project and district, (ii) expenditures by project, district and funding sources and (iii) a six-year plan for planned future expenditures from the Fund by project and district.

Allocations and expenditures are shown as of April 30, 2014. Total expenditures were $1.273 billion for the Route 58 Corridor Development Program. The expenditures by district are as follows: $449 million in Bristol District, $82 million in Hampton Roads District, $145 million in Lynchburg District, $258 million in Richmond District, and $339 million in Salem District.
