In accordance with the 2025 Uncodified Acts, Chapter 566, Greensville County Public Schools (GCPS) is conducting the required review of accessibility challenges across our school buildings and grounds, including athletic areas and playgrounds, and developing recommendations to address identified barriers.

At the time of construction, renovation, or significant modification, all GCPS facilities were designed, reviewed, and approved in accordance with the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards in effect at that time.

GCPS maintains a yearly practice, as part of our Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) process, of evaluating the accessibility of all school facilities to ensure our buildings and grounds provide access for all students, staff, and visitors.
